One door opens another...

I always wanted to work in acute-care. In nursing school I was interested in the sick folks. The really sick folks. Working SNF just didn't fit that need. Sure they were sick, but not in the way I craved. I wanted, no, needed to take care of those folks who could turn either way in a matter of 15 minutes. Not ICU sick, but nearly. Now I have that chance.

I got a new job. Doing what I want, where I want to do it and when. I'll be getting sick hearts and the people who come with them. It won't be easy but it will keep me engaged. Training started this week and so far, I know I made the right choice.

And for the SNF? Yeah, I don't work there anymore.

'Til later...
